About Dovo Solingen Renaissance 6/8 Straight Razor

Dovo Solingen Renaissance 6/8 Straight Razor is made from the highest quality Swedish stainless steel, this razor has a 6/8” rounded point and heel and a full hollow ground blade.

The handle has been crafted from a beautiful piece of Spanish Oak displaying a unique and distinctive grain. The polished stainless steel blade features 24 karat gold “Renaissance” etching and crossed swords. The blade has been ice tempered and offers hardness, elasticity and resistance to wear. Presented in a blue metal gift box, makes the ideal gift. Made in Germany by Dovo Solingen.

You will need a razor strop and a range of razor strop pastes for looking after your strop and razor. Use Yellow Strop paste to keep you strop supple. Green Strop paste is courser for sharpening blunt blades and White Strop Paste is for refinng sharp blades - on the canvas side of the strop

Strops are for straight 'cut-throat' razors.

How to use Dovo Solingen Renaissance 6/8 Straight Razor

The best way to maintain you razor and keep it in tip top condition you need to use a quality razor strop and strop paste.

Top tip: If you intend to use this product infrequently, then it is recommended that you rub the blade with light oil and store it in a dry safe place.
